Sons of God

Outlines, new story lines, and long nights of drinking too much coffee are ahead. Sons of God is about a fallen angel, a woman, a child… and maybe the apocalypse, who knows? This is one of the projects I’m working on at the moment. It is nowhere near finished, and there is a lot of work yet to go into it, but I thought I’d share a small piece.
“What happened?” Sidra asked him, staring at the two bloody wounds on the middle of his back.
Penn drew up on his knees, gently placing his hands on her legs. What could he say to make this better… to get her lips back on his? He should’ve said something before; should’ve at least told her to be gentle with him. To him, the pain, and the blood that came with it was normal, something even shower water could coerce, but to someone like her… she blamed herself, and he wasn’t sure he could make that go away. “Do you want to hear the story I’ve told everyone?”
She merely nodded, stunned.
“A few years ago I was in a car accident. A man in a truck hit my car on the passenger side going 80 miles an hour and I wasn’t wearing my seatbelt. I was thrown out of the windshield onto a fence post. My injuries were deep and they won’t heal completely. I’ve seen doctor after doctor, and not a single one has been able to tell me what is going on.”
She reached out and touched is face. “What’s the truth?” Her eyes begged something from him other than the words he’d just spoken.
He looked away, ashamed of who and what he was. “I made a mistake,” he whispered. “And it cost me my wings.”

Oh! I like!
Whatever you do, do NOT leave this story hanging! Keep writing until you get the story completed. You have a very good storyline, very intense emotion going on. You have given us just a little peek into his life and we are very anxious to see what happened to him in the end.
You are a very good writer, so don’t let up. You have my email address and my blog URL, so let me know when your story is done, and I can go buy it! Best wishes! Robert
